Judge Anthony Kendell was appointed to the Miami County Municipal Court bench by governor Mike DeWine in early July 2024. Judge Kendell’s first day on the bench was July 22nd, 2024. Prior to taking office, Judge Kendell worked In the Miami County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for 31 years and tried over 100 Criminal jury trials. He was the Miami County Elected Prosecutor from 2013 through mid- July 2024.
Education
Judge Kendell is a graduate of Graham high School. He graduated from Wright State University with degrees in Economics and Economic Theory. He attended law school at The University of Dayton School of Law receiving his Juris Doctor in 1996 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar later that same year.
Personal Background
Judge Kendell grew up in Champaign County and has resided in Miami County since 1987 where he started a family and raised two children. He now resides in Springcreek Township.
