Safety Town
Miami County Sheriff’s Office Safety Town is a program for incoming kindergarteners. The program is currently offered at Bethel, Bradford, Miami East, Milton Union, and Newton.
The 2026 dates are:
Newton: June 1st - June 5th
Milton-Union: June 8th - June 12th
Miami East: June 22nd - June 26th
Bethelt: July 13th - July 17th
The Program is Presented by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers with assistance from local law enforcement, EMS, and Fire Departments.
• We will be covering a different safety lesson each day. Some of the topics are seatbelts, car seats, school bus safety, stranger danger, fire safety, gun safety, crossing the street, street signs, and traffic lights. We will have special guest speaker daily to include local fire departments, EMS services, police K‐9’s, the 911 Operators, and local school district bus drivers.
• Your child will get a snack each day (cookie/juice) Please notify us of all food allergies and health concerns
• Your child will be given a bicycle helmet, t‐shirt, gun lock, and safety handouts each day
