Miami County Sanitary Engineering-Water/Wastewater System Utility Tech 1                                                                                            Under general supervision, performs routine maintenance checks and repair of water and wastewater plant systems and equipment; conducts preventative maintenance checks of pumps and motors; scrapes, cleans and paints water and wastewater infrastructure components; performs minor repairs to mechanical and electrical equipment; operates and/or utilizes power and hand tools in performing assigned duties; lubricates motors, blowers, and other prime moving equipment; records completed maintenance checks and repairs; maintains and/or repairs water and sewer distribution infrastructure components. Locates and reads water meters; accurately logs readings into a handheld electronic reader or logbook; notes damages or malfunctioning meters; collects water or wastewater samples for EPA testing. Performs light to heavy labor for ex tended period of time. Prepares and maintains required reports and records (e.g., costs, repair, flow trends, inventory, infrastructure concerns, lubrication of equipment, etc.); reads meters, gauges, calibration equipment, electronic analysis devices, and dials; maintains log of readings; views and edits sewer system videos and prepares repair plan; conducts calibration studies of pumping stations and metering manhole flow meter accuracy; operates computer as needed to record data. Miami County Operations & Facilities-Groundskeeper-Part Time-Seasonal                                                                                                    Under immediate supervision, mows, trims, and edges lawns and weeds and waters lawn and flower beds; trims shrubs and tree limbs. Miami County Operations & Facilities-HVAC & Controls Technician-Full Time                                                                                              Under direction, operates and maintains and monitors all HVAC system components and performs necessary maintenance checks on equipment (e.g., chillers, cooling towers, closed loop water systems, boilers, air handlers, etc.); utilizes computerized HVAC controls system to manage building mechanical energy systems; records services performed and notifies supervisor of problems; ensures vendors document repairs and PM service checks; verifies water conditioning services are inn place where needed; displays a basic working knowledge of building code requirements for HVAC electrical and plumbing, etc.; reads & reviews schematic and wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical publications. Miami County Job & Family Services-Eligibility Referral Supervisor 1-Full Time                                                                                         Direct supervision of Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1 & 2 Caseworkers and the Adult Protective Services program, including participation in hiring, promotion, discipline and termination of staff. Completes performance evaluations. Acts as the IEVS Coordinator, monitors the processing of public assistance cases, IEVS matches, healthcare applications and the Healthchek Program. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations.
