The Miami County Municipal Court Laboratory conducts in-house instrument-based drug testing to monitor the chemical use by offenders during probation supervision or any other court issue requiring such request, and to detect chemical use by Court involved high risk offenders. Objective: To confront, assess and monitor the offenders' chemical use as motivation to eliminate chemical abuse, detect chemical dependency and to hold accountable offenders through punitive measures. Definition: On-Site instrument-based drug test: The analysis of urine samples submitted by offenders for the detection of drugs utilizing analytical instrumentation.
