What can the Child Support Enforcement Agency Do For You?
Enforcement and Location
A non-custodial parent is subject to enforcement if he/she defaults in meeting required child support payments under an established support order. CSEA also assists in locating an absent parent, the absent parent's employer or other sources necessary to pursue establishment or enforcement of child support.

Tax Offset Collections
If a parent is delinquent in making payments, the agency can access tax return monies and redirect the funds to help satisfy the child support requirement.

Establishment of Orders
The CSEA is responsible for obtaining court ordered support or modifying an existing order.

Establishment of Paternity
The identity of parents must be established before a child's right to support can be assured by law. Miami County CSEA establishes paternity for children through administrative hearings or through court proceedings.
