Under general supervision, performs a variety of accounting transactions. Accounts Payable: prepares and monitors purchase orders and obligation sheets for County Auditor’s Office. Prepares invoices for payment; posts transactions. Accounts Receivable: process receipts and prepare pay-in documents. Enter and balance receipts and payables in Program Expenses Tracking System (PET). Reviews and processes child day care adjustments, tracks overpayment accounts and processes new hire alerts. Maintains attendance records. Prepares various fiscal/financial reports and performs basic auditing and examining. Performs general clerical duties, eg. Typing, scanning, copy work, filing, open, sort and distribute mail. This is a fast paced, busy job which requires good computer skills and accuracy, ability to multi-task and to work independently, and work well with the public. Miami County Job & Family Services-Fiscal Specialist-Full Time
Analyzes, prepares and reconciles financial corrections for child support payment accounts and performs financial activities to resolve SETS payment problems such as releasing or redirecting funds. Performs audits of child support accounts, tracking obligations and payments to ensure correct balances. Applies pre and post PRWORA (Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act) distribution rules to cases. Prepares audit over payment summaries for county conferences and state hearings and represents child support in state hearings. Maintains various financial child support reports. Miami County Department of Development-Building & Electrical Inspector-Full Time

Performs assigned on-site inspections of building construction in progress (e.g., gains access to work sites; inspects foundations, crawl spaces, structures, insulation, and ventilation; drives to work site; etc.). Reviews assigned building plans for compliance to appropriate codes and standards; communicates with contractors, homeowners, architects, etc., regarding code standards and compliance; collects evidence to assist in prosecution of code violators; serves as liaison between department and fire prevention personnel. Miami County Animal Shelter-Clerk/Kennel Attendant-Part Time

Under general direction, performs routine clerical tasks to document receipt, custody, care and disposal of animals; assists general public with routine questions, including releasing/adoption of animals, issues dog license, collects fees; researches files to locate rightful owner of impounded dogs; answers phone, performs data entry, files and retrieves records; refers escalated problem calls/customers to Chief Animal Control Officer or Director. Administers vaccinations to animals; administers methods of euthanasia (after successfully completing certification training). Issues warnings and prepares citations for violations of relevant laws as directed by Chief Animal Control Officer or Director. Riverside DD-Funding Specialist-Full Time

Functions as part of various teams supporting individuals served. Supports these teams by providing expertise in funding and service authorization. Responsible for the review and submission of Targeted Case Management (TCM) billing. Oversees processes associated with necessary corrections. Prepares and implements trainings related to TCM for the Service and Support Administration (SSA) department. Generates and projects costs associated with Medicaid waiver services. Prepares and implements training related to Medicaid funding for the SSA department. Continuously review rules and rule changes associated with Medicaid waiver services and the Cost Projection Tool (CPT).
Works directly with the SSAs as part of the ISP process to plan for services. This includes the review of PAWS utilization reports. Miami County Veterans' Services-Transport Van Driver-Part Time/as needed
Transport eligible veterans to and from the Dayton VA Medical Center (VAMC). Pick them up from and return them to their place of residence. Transport VAMC referred veterans to other medical appointments in the vicinity of the Dayton VAMC as well as to WPAFB. Maintain veterans’ appointments in Outlook and schedule their pickup times. Provide to and receipt from new passengers the van transportation policy. Coordinate with veterans who might have to have assistance equipment to accompany them. Coordinate with VAMC nurses and social workers when a hospitalized veteran is released and need transportation. Assist veterans with appointment changes to meet the transportation schedule. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Duties include: Periodic patrols and checks; monitoring inmate living quarters; screening visitors; inmate counts and other duties as required.
