Interviews recipients to determine eligibility for Public Assistance programs, including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Food Assistance, Medicaid, and others. Miami County Communication Center-Telecommunicator-Full Time
Under general supervision, operates communication equipment (e.g. 9-1-1 telephone system, trunked radio systems, computer aided dispatching, LEADS, TDD, etc.) reviews emergency Miami County Communication Center calls, and ensures they are directed properly; extracts pertinent information from callers to ensure certain information is accurate; dispatches emergency units. Enters data into system to update database and makes corrections; enters new data and deletes old data; maintains records on calls and incidents. You must meet all safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of this position and attend training sessions to stay current on standard operating procedures. Miami County Common Pleas Court-PSI Writer-Part Time

Interview offenders who have been referred by the Common Pleas Court for a pre-sentence investigation. Conduct thorough investigations into the background of felony offenders including the instant criminal offense, the defendant's version of the crime, adjudications of the defendant as a delinquent child, criminal history as an adult, social history including family, marital, educational, substance abuse, and employment history. Investigations are to include mental/substance abuse assessments and victim impact statements when applicable. Completes risk/needs assessment through Ohio Risk Assessment System (ORAS). Must work well under the pressure of court deadlines and submit PSI reports in a timely fashion. Conduct investigations of offenders requesting Intervention in Lieu of Conviction, Judicial Release, and Sealing of Record; prepare written reports with a ruling recommendation. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Duties include: Periodic patrols and checks; monitoring inmate living quarters; screening visitors; inmate counts and other duties as required.

West Central Juvenile Rehabilitation-Youth Leader-FT
