Miami County Children’s Services-Caseworker I
Work with families at risk of child maltreatment, screened in to a1ternative response pathway, as partners to identify family strengths, needs, and risks or concerns that are interfering with child safety, healthy child development, and/or family stability and well-being. Create individualized service plans and/ or case plans with identified goals in partnership with family and build objectives toward achieving goals. Facilitate family's ability to meet goals through engagement, communication, support, and connections to services. Implement crisis intervention as needed; may require work during non-traditional hours. Performs miscellaneous duties; remains available 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week to service own caseload; safeguards confidential information at all times; performs other duties as assigned. Miami County Juvenile Court-Probation Officer-Full Time
Supervises juvenile probationers in both office and field settings, makes referrals to treatment providers, provides case management and monitors progress in areas of risk reduction, counseling, employment, educational training, etc.; Attends Court hearings and proceedings, as necessary. Provides investigations and reports to the Court to assist in the dispositions of juvenile offenders. Provides case management and intervention services for juveniles and their families. Miami County Public Health-Environmental Health Intern-Seasonal
The internship will be for ten weeks (400 hours) starting in June. The 400 hours may be split up throughout the summer to accommodate a vacation or days off. Responsible for mosquito surveillance and reporting program. Scanning and filing of environmental reports. Assist and observe the sanitarian in the environmental programs in which they are responsible. May collect and deliver samples such as water samples, effluent samples, etc. and perform other routine environmental sampling. Perform routine measurements of water quality parameters of swimming pools such as chlorine residual, pH, etc. Report observations and conversations to a sanitarian after investigating a public health nuisance complaint. Interview and collect information from animal owners/bite victims regarding the circumstances of a biting incident. Contact animal owners to inform them of applicable rules and to determine the health/vaccination status of the biting animal. Riverside DD - Administrative Assistant-PT

Tracks enrollment paperwork, to include, scanning and indexing. Maintains and monitors individual files as directed. Requests supplies for the department by completing purchase authorizations. Provides back-up support for other Administrative Assistants as needed or requested. Completes requests from other Riverside DD supervisors, managers or directors as requested. Riverside DD – Community Awareness and Opportunities Assistant-PT
Provides assistance to the Community Awareness and Opportunities Department. Assists with planning, coordinating and implementing agency events such as DD Awareness Month Open House, County Health Fairs, etc. Maintains the distribution lists for newsletters, handles mailing process and ensures distribution timelines are met. Creates Recreation Department registration forms and use efficient processes for filing all documents electronically and in paper form related to all scheduling. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time

Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Duties include: Periodic patrols and checks; monitoring inmate living quarters; screening visitors; inmate counts and other duties as required.
