Miami County Operations & Facilities-Administrative Assistant-Full Time
Under general direction, prepares and maintains financial reports/records relative to the department using MUNIS System or Excel Reports. Processes bill payments; requests transfers and additional appropriations; receives and processes all monies paid into the department; processes utility billing reports and invoices related to building energy consumption & overall usage across county facilities. Processes work orders and handles related support functions including Facility Dude or other CMMS system data entry & reports; verify labor hours linked to work orders. Handles purchasing function for the department; receives incoming invoices and forwards for approval; matches invoices to purchase orders and processes for payment; schedules and oversees delivery and distribution of purchased items; performs inter-departmental invoicing. Miami County Transportation Department-Transportation Manager-Full Time
Under general direction, coordinates the overall management of the County’s public transit system, including developing, planning and administering the annual operation and capital budgets and developing, reviewing, recommending, and implementing transit goals, objectives, policies and priorities. Administers system contracts for transit services, prepares specifications and bid documentation for transportation services. Responsible for departmental accounting; issues internal billings to departments for services provided; submits required reports. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Duties include: Periodic patrols and checks; monitoring inmate living quarters; screening visitors; inmate counts and other duties as required.
