ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES
The agency enforces the Ohio Adult Protective Services Act which has, as its purpose, the protection of those over 60 from abuse, neglect or exploitation.
MEDICAID FOR THE AGED, BLIND, AND DISABLED
The Adult Services unit determines Medicaid eligibility for certain aged, blind, or disabled individuals. The largest expenditure of Medicaid monies in this category goes to residents in long-term care facilities. The agency works with many people each month who reside in Medicaid-certified nursing homes in the local region. |
